Octling Terms of Service
These Terms are an agreement between you and Octling (“we”, “us”) governing your use of the Octling website, workspace, agent software and related services (the “Service”). Please read them carefully, especially the parts in bold, which cover important rights, limitations of liability and how disputes are resolved. By signing up, logging in or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Your account
1.1 You can sign up with an email address or log in with Google. You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. If you create an organization account on behalf of a company or other entity, you confirm that you are authorized to do so, and these Terms bind that entity as well.
1.2 You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
1.3 Your account is for you (or the members your organization authorizes). Keep your password, verification codes, device connection codes and deployment codes safe. Actions taken through your account, including commands run on your devices, are treated as your actions. If you suspect unauthorized access, change your password and contact us right away.
1.4 Organization accounts are managed by organization admins. Admins can invite and remove members, assign devices and permissions, and view sessions, devices and audit records within the organization. By joining an organization you acknowledge this.
2. The Service
2.1 Octling lets you describe a task to an AI in plain language on the web. The AI plans the work, runs commands on the devices you connect (computers, servers, development boards and so on), reads the results and keeps going. The Service also includes a file library, scheduled tasks, self-service tasks, device management, batch deployment, notifications and other features as offered in the product.
2.2 Remote execution requires you to install and run our agent software on the target device. The agent keeps a connection to our servers and runs commands sent through the Service.
2.3 AI capabilities are provided by third-party model providers, or by model endpoints you configure yourself. Models differ in capability, speed and price.
2.4 We may offer free credits or a free tier. The scope, amount and duration of anything free may change.
3. Remote execution and device authorization
This is the core of the Service and deserves your full attention.
3.1 You may only install the agent and run commands on devices you own or are expressly authorized by the owner to manage. When working on devices for a client or any third party, you must obtain their authorization in advance and tell them that the Service will run commands on their device and keep an audit record.
3.2 You are responsible for AI-generated commands. The AI may misunderstand you or produce commands that are wrong or destructive. Once run, a command may delete data, change configuration or interrupt services, and the effect may be irreversible. We provide approval workflows, high-risk command blocking and rules to help you manage risk, but they cannot catch every dangerous operation. Before working on important devices, make sure you have backups, and review commands carefully before approving them.
3.3 Every command run on a device, and its result, is recorded in an audit log. In organization accounts, admins can view these records.
3.4 You can stop or uninstall the agent, or remove the device in the workspace, at any time to end the Service's access to that device.
3.5 You must not use remote execution to access systems without authorization, bypass anyone's security measures, or do anything prohibited in Section 6.
4. AI output
4.1 Replies, summaries, commands and other output produced by the AI (“Output”) are generated automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. Output does not represent our views.
4.2 Output is not legal, medical, financial or other professional advice. You are responsible for evaluating Output and for the consequences of relying on it.
4.3 To the extent permitted by law, you may use the Output you receive through the Service, provided your use does not infringe anyone's rights or break the law.
5. Your content
5.1 Content you enter, upload or generate in the Service, including conversations, instructions, files, prompts, memories, and command output and screenshots from your devices (“Your Content”), belongs to you or its original rights holders.
5.2 To provide the Service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, transmit and display Your Content as necessary, including sending it to the model providers that process your requests. This license is used only to operate and improve the Service, keep it secure and comply with law, and ends when you delete the content or close your account (except where the law requires us to retain it).
5.3 We do not use Your Content to train our own models. How third-party model providers handle the data they receive is governed by their own terms; see our Privacy Policy.
5.4 You confirm that you have the rights to Your Content and that it does not break the law or infringe anyone's rights.
6. Acceptable use
When using the Service, you must not:
- break the laws of your location or the device's location, or create or distribute unlawful content;
- access, control, scan or attack any system, network or device without authorization;
- write, distribute or deploy malware such as viruses, trojans or ransomware, mine cryptocurrency, send spam or launch denial-of-service attacks;
- steal or harvest other people's personal data, credentials or trade secrets;
- infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy or other rights;
- interfere with the Service, circumvent quotas, billing or security limits, or load-test or exploit vulnerabilities in the Service without permission (security research we have agreed to is fine);
- reverse engineer or decompile the Service or the agent, or copy, resell or sublicense the Service, except as the law expressly allows;
- create accounts in bulk, or abuse referral rewards, free credits or redemption codes;
- violate the usage policies of the model providers you use.
If you break these rules, we may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or terminate your account depending on the severity, and we reserve all other rights.
7. Payments, credits and subscriptions
7.1 Some features are paid. Plans, prices and entitlements are as shown on the subscription page.
7.2 Online payments are processed by PayPal. We do not see or store your full card number or other complete payment details.
7.3 Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time on the subscription page or in PayPal; your entitlements continue until the end of the current period and the subscription will not renew. If a renewal payment fails, we keep a short grace period; if payment still has not succeeded when it ends, the subscription's entitlements stop.
7.4 Usage such as model calls is charged according to the published rules and deducted from your credits or subscription allowance. Credits can only be used within the Service, have no cash value and cannot be transferred; expiry rules are as described in the product.
7.5 Except where required by law or agreed by us, fees paid and credits used or granted are non-refundable. If you cannot use a paid service because of a problem on our side, contact us and we will work it out with you.
7.6 We may change prices. Changes do not affect a billing period you have already paid for; we will notify you before a new price applies to your next period, and you may cancel before it takes effect.
7.7 Redemption codes, referral rewards and similar benefits are subject to the rules in force when they were issued. We may reclaim benefits obtained improperly.
7.8 Prices may not include taxes. You are responsible for any taxes that apply to your purchase, other than taxes on our income.
8. Third-party services
The Service relies on or connects to third-party services such as model providers, Google sign-in, PayPal, cloud servers and object storage, bot protection and email delivery, as well as webhooks, notification channels, model endpoints and MCP servers you configure yourself. Third-party services are the responsibility of their providers and are subject to their own terms and privacy policies. Outages or changes on their side may affect the related features of the Service.
9. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, interface design, trademarks and documentation, belongs to us or our licensors. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable license, for the term of these Terms, to use the Service as needed, including installing and running the agent on devices you are authorized to manage. These Terms do not transfer any other intellectual property to you.
We may freely use any suggestions or feedback you give us, without payment to you.
10. Changes, suspension and termination
10.1 We keep improving the Service and may add, change or retire features. We will give advance notice of changes that materially harm you.
10.2 The Service may be interrupted for maintenance, upgrades, network or third-party failures, or events beyond our control. We will try to give notice in advance and restore service quickly.
10.3 You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account in Settings → Account security. If you own an organization, transfer ownership to another member first.
10.4 We may suspend or terminate the Service for you if you seriously breach these Terms or the law, or if your use creates risk for the Service, other users or third parties.
10.5 After your account is terminated, we handle your data as described in the Privacy Policy. Please export anything you want to keep beforehand.
11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
11.1 The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that Output will be accurate, or that the Service will meet your particular needs.
11.2 We are not liable for losses arising from: commands you run or approve, including AI-generated commands; your use of the Service on devices you are not authorized to manage; disclosure of your account or credentials through no fault of ours; the failures or acts of third-party services; or events beyond our reasonable control.
11.3 To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you actually paid for the Service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the liability, and we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, loss of profits, loss of data or business interruption.
11.4 Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be limited by law.
11.5 You will indemnify us against claims and losses arising from your breach of these Terms or the law.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will publish the updated version on this page and change the “Last updated” date. For changes that materially affect your rights or obligations, we will notify you in advance in the product or by email. If you keep using the Service after the changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms; if you do not agree, stop using the Service and close your account.
13. Governing law and disputes
13.1 This English version of the Terms is governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore.
13.2 We will first try to resolve any dispute arising from these Terms through good-faith discussion. If that fails, the dispute shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
13.3 These Terms also exist in a Chinese version, which is governed by the law stated in it.
13.4 If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
