Use Claude Code, Codex or Kimi on your computer from any browser

You already pay for a coding agent that runs in your terminal. Octling's local CLI bridge connects it to the Octling web app, so you can keep working with it from another computer, a tablet or your phone, without opening ports or setting up a VPN.

How it works

1. Install octling-local on the computer where Claude Code, Codex or Kimi is already set up.
2. In Octling, open Models → Local CLI and generate a pairing code. Run the login command with it on your computer. The code is single-use and expires quickly.
3. Run octling-local up and leave it running. Your CLI now shows up as a model you can pick in any Octling chat.
4. Chat from any browser. Messages go to the CLI on your machine and its replies come back to the chat.

Keep a long task going while you are away from the desk. Check progress and answer the agent's questions from your phone.

One place for all your machines. The same Octling workspace can also connect servers and other devices, so you can work on code and the machines it runs on side by side.

No extra model bill. The bridge uses the subscription you already have instead of Octling credits.

Questions

Does this use Octling credits?

No. Conversations with your local CLI run on your own Claude Code, Codex or Kimi subscription, so Octling does not charge credits for them. On the free plan, local CLI is unlocked after you invite one friend; it is included in the Standard plan.

Where does the code run?

On your own computer. octling-local starts your CLI there, and Octling relays your messages and its replies through the browser.

Can I use it from my phone?

Yes. Octling is a web app, so any browser works, including on a phone or tablet. Your computer needs to stay on with octling-local running.

Can I revoke access?

Yes. Each paired machine is listed in Settings, and you can revoke it at any time. The machine disconnects immediately and needs a new pairing code to come back.
